That would be a nice feature to have. I wonder all the time whose flag is this, whose flag is that.
On Duolingo somebody even made a script at some point to show the name of the country in a tooltip on hover.
Exactly what kind of script? Because I know how to do that on Google Chrome by using an extension (such as Styler Beta), which lets you to add your own JavaScript codes to websites.
Firstly, it would be better if this feature were implemented in the forum itself, just like all the other tooltips on hover that already exist (the country flags under the avatar image, various forum buttons, etc.). For obvious reasons, like security, not everybody being able to install scripts, possible script breaking on future updates of the forum code, etc.
Back in 2017, there was a script named Duolingo Flag Language that worked nicely for a period of time. Here are the details:

This script stopped working after the Duolingo updated their forum code. It was also the fate of many other scripts.
