For example, I am wanting to do a unit focused on Banking transactions.

And the "Filter" lets me identify that these are units that this may be addressed in :

  • Unit 57
    Discuss money, comment on foods
  • Unit 58
    Make plans to go out
  • Unit 59
    Talk about your past

Sigh, you can not allocate specific tasks to any particular student.

All you can do is allocate a challenge of doing a certain amount of XP, and a deadline of when these XP should be done by.

Duolingo remains a toy, as far as being an effective tool for either teachers, or for motivated students wishing to prepare themselves for something like a test or event they wish to prepare for.

It takes the control away from students and from teachers to direct learning and prepare for things.
It remains a "game" and does not assist teachers or focused students aiming for a particular objective.

Focused on only encouraging people to spend their time gaming for XP.

The list is hard to comprehend because they double the same objectives for different levels. For example, "arrange transportation" is mentioned in both A1 and A2 learning objectives, although it is obvious that you should know how to do it at A2 if you already know it at A1.
