After the new update of the units map for B1 level in Spanish, now lessons are repeated at least three times in the same topic, so instead of having new lessons with new words and expressions to learn on each topic , now there are either one or two new lesson and the rest is repeated , it is so frustrating.

Repeated lesseons Topic is solved
Re: Repeated lessons
Is it a feature or a bug?
You should move this to the duolingo subforum, I haven’t logged in there for months. I know other members who even deleted their logins. Nowadays, to practice Spanish, I open tiltok, youtube or ewa

Re: Repeated lesseons
You've probably got the same problem I have with the English to French course. After the A2 part of the course, they split one Section & Unit into 5 sections and units and now the L0-L1 and L1-L2 nodes are one lesson instead of five. It's better this way if it works, but as usual Duolingo screwed up another turnover. They're legendary for botching turnovers.
Each section and unit has a vocabulary list like this from the old Section 7 Unit 21:
- renseigner, afin, avant tout, requis, justificatif de domicile
- formule de politesse, bureaucratie, démarche, administratif, étape, tout d'abord
- préfecture, demande, renouveler, afin que, titre de séjour, deuxièmement
- décès, une fois que, acte de mariage, livret de famille, quant, état civil
- délai, de façon à ce que, maintenant que, pour finir, récupérer
In the updated course section 7, unit 101 takes the vocab words from (1) via L0-L1 and L1-L2 and the unit review is, I suppose, L2-L3. Section 7 unit 102 does the same for (2) and so it goes up to section 7 unit 105 for (5). One section and unit become 5. The L0-L1 lessons have a lot of definitions of terms as the sentences and Complete the chat challenges. The L1-L2 lessons have practical sentences and read and respond challenges. The unit reviews are sentences and Listen and respond challenges.
Yesterday I got the base sentences using vocabulary for part 1 in section 7 unit 102 & filed a bug report. It was supposed to be sentences for part 2 vocab . Today I got the base sentences for (3) in the L0-L1 node for section 7 unit 103 so I thought the problem was fixed but got 5 sentences using vocab from (1) in the L1-L2, so I 86xd the lesson and wrote a bug report. Told them this is a botched turnover & needs to be escalated to the highest priority. Then I wrote this for here.
I'd recommend doing practice lessons to keep your streak till they fix this or go to another language with A1 and A2 lessons to keep your streak. Don't do the B1 and B2 lessons because you'll be essentially skipping lessons and not really learning. I'd recommend trying new lessons each day or so but 86xing out if they haven't fixed it. You can tell after 5 sentences if it's fixed. I'm sending a bug report a day till it's fixed.
We had a really big problem like this about 4-5 years ago in the En-fr course and it took them three weeks to fix it.
The web still has the old layout so that could be another option. Unfortunately, there's no radio lessons there, so for me it's not an option.

Re: Repeated lesseons
Recently I heard on Reddit that they started doing A/B tests for this unit x 5 layout also in the A2 section #4.

Re: Repeated lesseons
Here's how to test to see if there's still a bug. I'm doing the L1-L2 circle for section 7, Unit 103 Paperwork: Request official documents. Here's the vocabulary for S7-U101 and S7-U103.
1) renseigner, afin, avant tout, requis, justificatif de domicile
3) préfecture, demande, renouveler, afin que, titre de séjour, deuxièmement
I recommend doing 5 lessons, though I believe you can find out that it's still broken after the first lesson. I recommend doing five because of the energy system, heres my five;
- Tu t'es déjà renseigné ?
- Voici la liste des choses requises.
- J'ai cherché des informations sur Internet afin d'en savoir plus.
- Avant tout, appelle la mairie.
- Avant tout, il faut prendre rendez-vous.
Anyone can see that these are the word tested for each sentence: 1. renseigner 2.requis 3. afin de 4. avant tout 5. Avant tout. I got a rebate of Energy + 5 to bring me back to 25. Then I quit the lesson. Those sentences match the Vocab list for U101. It's obviously still a bug. Thus I recommend only doing practice lessons or new lesson from an A1/A2 course or a course that has not gotten the update, to maintain your streak. Something without the switch to five lessons. Or even ww.w.duolingo.com/practice.
Report the bug, either by hitting the gear on the app or using the link:
https://www.duolingo.com/help/support-request
Other details about the change
A. Duolingo went back to the skill names and junked the unit names for the name of the units:
Tree:
Skill 7.21 Paperwork
Path:
Section 7, Unit 21 Communicate requirements
New unit names:
Section 7 Unit 101 Paperwork: Ask about required documents
Section 7 Unit 102 Paperwork: Explain administrative steps
Section 7 Unit 103 Paperwork: Request official documents
Section 7 Unit 104 Paperwork: Provide personal information
Section 7 Unit 105 Paperwork: Explain a process
B. No grammar skills. They're gone in the B1/B2 course. If you feel nostalgic about them, go to the Website. You can still do a grammar skill lesson. But check your strength percentages for each skill on duome - you'll see that the Grammar skills are not there anymore. Even for the ones in sections 1-4! This likely means that Duolingo does not pass the strength percentages for the grammar skill in the raw data that duome picks up. These will likely be removed from the path at some time in the near future.

I believe this issue was resolved.
For three weeks, I did the L1-L2 star in S7-U103 and got challenges with the same ten sentences, which I'll post at the end of this note. Today, I did not! It only took about a dozen bug reports and the final one was an expletive-laden scud missile rant that maybe found the mark. Got fifteen challenges with new sentences, including a couple read and respond ones. I'm not sure if they actually fixed something or whether it was because I played a beat the clock challenge where I got new sentences and that maybe triggered something in Duolingo to stop with the boring ten.
After completing the step, I got a new kind of chest, where I kept pressing sticks to get a rare, more rarer, and exquisite award that ended up being a 1.5 XP timer for 20 minutes. It sounds like something that's best gotten during 6-12 am or pm where you can stack with a 15 minute double XP timer to get 35 minutes of inflated XP. Well, I got it this afternoon so I lived with what I got.
Also, I noticed a weekend challenge where I had to do nine lessons to complete, which is not hard because I do ten lessons a day. I'm not sure what I got by winning the weekend challenge and so it goes, as KV used to write. I don't believe that lessons done on the website trigger the weekend challenge, but - once triggered - lessons on the web did count. I did get some goofy picture award.
Anyway, I consider this issue now closed for the En-fr path, and I'd recommend trying a new lesson in sp-en if you were getting the problem there because I mentioned that they were getting the problem too in my budget reports. I think it was anyone who got the 5 units per skill update, which I think is only those two courses.

Re: Repeated lesseons
Too many new words with no repeats is a problem for me. I like the repeats on Duolingo. In my view, other apps could do with more.
Mind you, it was getting boring before the latest major course uodate.
