Can I use “Nos nos” with a pronominal verb?

Post by gscottoliver »

There is a sentence in the Latin course to translate “We wash ourselves” from English to Latin. There is also a sentence to translate “I wash myself”. For the latter, both Ego me lavo and Me lavo are accepted, but for the former only Nos lavamus is accepted. It rejects Nos nos lavamus.

Should this last be accepted?

To my knowledge it is fine. I would suspect only one nos would be more natural.
