Save my 3xXP for later.

I want to do a short run in the morning, using my Night Owl 2xXP, and save the 3xXP for the evening, when I have time for a longer run. However, as soon as I activate the Night Owl, the 3xXP is also activated automatically. Is there any way to avoid this?

At the moment you can't.

But since Duolingo's rules change from time to time without notice, who knows?

Maybe everything will be different again in a few weeks.

It would be great to save up XP boost time for when you actually can make use of it. But alas, duolingo only cares about keeping users on the app, not what they actually do when on it
