A narrator is introducing the story in English, while he protagonist is talking French, at a reduced speed and well pronounced.
As of today, 65 episodes have been published, the latest one on March 22.
Could someone be interested in assisting in making word lists in French, either from words from the podcast,
or for this topic - being about sailing.
And perhaps we as a community could create some puzzles.
One site that looks interesting is : https://www.puzzlefast.com/
Though I have not yet run it through its paces.
Do people have some other recommendations, ideas, for making puzzles on a topic like this ?
Censé être le plus facile. Oui mais. La dernière parôle horizontale est 'potables', ce qui ne correspond pas à la déscripption de téléphones mobiles. Il y manque la 'r'. Tel qu' écrit, c'est un adjectif comme dans 'eaux potables'.
I wonder how you could add to , for example that resource to make it even more of a class resource ?
Hello, my dear friend daKanga!
I have been slowly recording the episodes with pictures. Here is an example, which I put on my YouTube channel. As much as possible, I tried to use Duolingo pictures (Many of which you helped me collect ), but some of the pictures probably have copywright problems... I am using them for educational purposes, so I hope it is okay.
Duolingo has made available some study guides for educators. I have my students write sentence fragments in the listening comprehension section, because I know what it is like on the AP French exam: The student starts to write, and says, "Hey! I know that word!" and then as the student writes the word, they hear a word from the next sentence, and they say, "Hey! I know that word!!" But then the first word flutters out of their brain. So I am trying this as a way to train them for a harder listening exercice.
Recapping: I have the students write the sentence fragments on one page, and then after the podcast is over, I have them re-write their sentence fragments into whole sentences on a separate page. That is working pretty well.
My French 2 students (French 2, which is really French 1 1/2 because of the crazy year we had last year...) are a little frustrated: They realize that they would not be able to follow the podcast without the visual aids. But they don't want to try it without the visual aids yet.
Any other educators on here who would like to collaborate on this project?

I found a couple on Quizlet. Search for Duolingo Podcast. Here is an example: https://quizlet.com/_8htmve?x=1jqt&i=2qv9di. I was only able to find four total. I may make some of my own. Anybody want to help?
