Sofia222677 the logout bug should be fixed in v0.1.9. Possibly that's also fixed the conflict with Duolingo Solution Viewer, but I don't use it — LICA98 could you check that?

It has been fixed indeed. Thank you very much for the quick tweak!

is there a keyboard shortcut to create the discussion without using the mouse?

Added, it's Alt+S (for Sentence discussions 😉).

Most issues of sentences getting out of sync should now be solved, but there may still be some cases that aren't covered, in which case please keep reporting bugs! 😄

doesn't seem to work for me :? and I don't get why add a 2-key shortcut when it could be just 1? (especially when S is already in use for the sentence viewer (which was fixed btw 👍))

Yay! The debug short cut worked! Umm, do I need to have a pastebin account to send you the pastebin link? I'll pm you one of the reports for characters where there is a word so you can get an idea of what it's up to.

What other keyboard shortcuts does the sentence viewer use? I can change to Alt+M if you like?

Single-character shortcuts would interfere with core Duolingo functionality, i.e. I don't want the extension to be triggered by typing in "un café sin azúcar, por favor".

I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong as I never used Tampermonkey before (I normally use a simple ~/.js-style content-script injector which probably wouldn't cut here because of isolated words), but it doesn't seem to ever get the challenges for me.

If I understand it right, the script tries to extract the challenges from the sessions end point by proxying the XHR. But it looks like the Duolingo uses the Fetch API instead of XHR for that particular request. (At least for me? How is it working for other people?)
The network panel shows XHR requests being initiated from the injected user script and they are correctly examined, but the interesting one isn't:

![Screenshot of devtools Network panel](

I'm using user script version 0.1.9 on Debian-built Chromium 101.0.4951.41 with Tampermonkey 4.16 (with site access to https://*.duolingo.com/* and https://forum.duome.eu/* and otherwise default settings).

Duolingo does a lot of A/B testing so maybe they're trialing migrating to fetch...? My network tab still shows nothing but XHRs. I'll look into monkey patching fetch too.

how does it interfere with core functionality if it appears only after you have the completed the exercise? same way all other options use single digit shortcuts:
S solutions
D discussions
R report error

just M should be enough for duome

OCgXt4Pu can you try out v0.1.12 and see if that works? Monkey patching fetch seems to be working fine from my testing, but I can't replicate your exact situation as I'm not included in the same A/B test.

I tested out checkpoint #1 of the Russian tree, and I didn't get the DUOME button or the DISCUSS button for any sentence. I did get hints for all of them though, which aren't supposed to be there in a test, so it seems the owl had to much vodka... I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but it would be nice to have at least the DUOME button even when the owl misbehaves.

I did get hints

What kind of hints? That's not a feature of the extension — do you have other extensions installed? If not, maybe it's a Duolingo bug or A/B test.

To report bugs, please press Alt+Shift+R from inside the Duolingo challenge where the issue occurred, with the browser extension installed and enabled, then follow the instructions in the prompt. I've updated the process to make it smoother (no Pastebin required and an easy-to-use GitHub issue template), as of v0.1.13.

The hints that show the translations when you hover over the words. That's a feature of Duolingo, not the extension. Anyway I'm trying to test out another checkpoint now and the hints are gone, so it might have been a Duolingo bug which they have fixed.

Alt+shift+R doesn't work. I pressed it and nothing happens. :( This time I'm testing checkpoint #2 in the Russian tree. Now there is a DISCUSS button but no DUOME button. I've updated the extension, it's enabled and works in other challenges. All I can do is add a print screen.

Edit: To clarify, Alt+shift+R does work in other challenges, but not when I needed it. :(

Try pressing F12 (might need to press fn+F12 depending whether your laptop has function-lock on), click the "Console" tab, and see if there's any error output there — if so, can you copy and paste it here?

OK, Alt+Shift+R worked this time, but GitHub has an error:

There was an error creating your issue: body is too long (maximum is 65536 characters).

The debug output generated by the extension is longer than 65536 characters. :( I can't paste it here either:

Your message contains 108707 characters.
The maximum number of allowed characters is 60000.

Update: I have the debug output saved to a text file on my computer, and attached it to the Github report. :) I hope that's good enough.

Thanks! I'll probably take a look over the weekend. I'll update the issue template too, as I guess copy-pasting often won't work.

The shortcuts only work with English letters, hitting the m key when using the Hebrew language corresponding to צ in Hebrew does not work. Using cap locks will let you use the m key shortcut. It will however not work for the alt+shift+r shortcut. One must switch to English before it will work. Just something to know if you try this from another language.

I applied the same fix as this one, so hopefully should work with all languages as of v0.1.15.

Just added a fix for a challenge type used in some checkpoint tests, not sure if that same type is used in progress quizzes. If you spot issues in future, you can report them by pressing Alt+Shift+R and following the instructions in the popup.

The way this interferes is that if you are using the Solution Viewer extension, and type M when you are trying to filter answers -- it triggers to create a Duome SD as well. For instance that is how I accidentally created this new empty SD viewtopic.php?t=4088-they-were-not-able-to-sleep-tr-en . The other shortcuts mentioned (S, D, R) do not trigger when Solution Viewer is open.

I think the Alt-sequence was a better choice!

Try v0.1.18 — should no longer trigger if a text input element is selected.

Have used this Duome-button successfully from the Vivaldi browser (Chromium) just now.
Great work. Thank you for the magic.

Now I'm just wondering how I could / would delete that post from the forum before anyone starts a discussion, since the 'bot' apparently is the creator and not me. It is a bit of a surprise to me that my username is not visible as creator of the discussion.
Since my personal login was all it took to execute the the sentence-posting.
Perhaps a little warning, that I would be adding to the forum already at that point (and I would not be able to undo) would have been welcome and could have kept me from logging in.
Makes me wonder whether the bot would remember my actions also, if I would not log in at the forum at that point in time, but let's say a week later.

weerwater The sentence bot does the work with the Duome extension. You are just adding the sentence to the forum. Unanswered sentences go here. Once someone comments on them, they go to that language's forum, and into a sentence discussion subforum if one is available. I've made some sentences discussions without commenting on them too, testing out the extension. What happens next time someone sees that sentence and uses the extension, the bot will link to the sentence discussion you created and they can comment on it. Basically you are just helping the bot gather sentences when you use the extension, so no need to feel bad. Hope this was helpful.

cool dream because that would be a pretty cool thing if it happened
