L'expression put##n la tête

Post by pawndemic »

I am still doing the exercises from the page TV5 monde apprendre le français
In the A1-section there is a dialog between a woman and a man and he thinks they are knowing eachother, but she doesn't agree.

and in one of point of the conversation he said

Tu plaisantes là ? Ah putain ta tête !

(yes, in an A1 course! :D )

I am not sure what that could mean in the given context. Tu plaisantes là ? I understand as something like "Are you making fun of me?"

The full transcription, if you need more context, is here:
Culture(s): tu ou vous ?

native: 🇩🇪, B2 - C1: 🇬🇧 🇪🇸, A1: 🇫🇷 🇮🇹

If you look up plaisanter it is defined as to joke, to jest, to kid, so I would translate it to more like "Are you joking there?", later in the clip Paul says "Tu plaisantes ou quoi ?" which registers in my mind as "Are you joking or what?".
