Some Yiddish music .... (Article)

Post by IceVajal »

I just came across this article about 3 young women who want to revive Yiddish music.

The Times of Israel: This singing trio wants to make Yiddish sexy again.

It's the story behind this project and the video is embedded.

Hope you enjoy it!

This was so good, it brought back memories of when my grandparents listened to Yiddish music. Molly Picon was really well-known in their day and Yiddish theater was something everyone in their community talked about. My grandparents lived and worked in the Catskills before going west to California, which at that time was the land of milk and "money"...LOL You either went to California or Florida...thankfully that went way west. They nearly stopped in Arizona but at that time there were no bagels there so they pushed on. Ahh the memories...LOL
