Grammar — "no tiene que haber [noun]"?

Post by luo-ning »

Sentence on Duolingo:

Necesito corregir este texto antes de publicarlo porque no tiene que haber ningún error

What does the part in bold mean? My guess is "no tiene que" is "has to not" (idiomatically "must not"), rather than "doesn't have to" (i.e. "may not"), so the whole thing means "there must not be any errors". Is that correct?

Yes, that's what it means.
