Verb help, "tasks"

Post by Brewerpablo »

What did I miss?
All of a sudden, in this lesson, Duo requires me to use verb forms (conjugations?) that I don't remember them ever presenting. They're not in the TIPS that precede the lesson.

https://www.duolingo.com/skill/es/Tasks/1

Words like ponerme, levantarnos, etc. What are these forms called, so I can look them up elsewhere? Are they somehow related to reflexive verbs?
I feel silly having to ask this but this seemed to come out of the blue. Point me in the right direction, and I'll take it from there. Gracias!

Yes they are reflexive forms of verbs. Poner -> ponerse, levantar -> levantarse.

Here is a link that seems to cover basic aspects of reflexive conjugation: https://www.tellmeinspanish.com/verbs/s ... njugation/
