Advice for people learning Japanese

I know a lot of English speakers here are learning Japanese, and it can seem like a difficult language to learn (which it is, at first) so here's some advice:
If you're having trouble remembering kanji, you can write them down in a notebook. If you're learning Japanese, you need to know at least 2,000 kanji, but if you keep on working you might get the hang of it.
Watch English dubbed anime with Japanese subtitles. It's a great way of learning how to write/speak in Japanese. However, if there's an anime that you're really looking forward to watching, it's better if you watch it normally.
If you're also practicing Japanese using a notebook, it's a good idea to write down a Japanese word, then the pronunciation next to it in English - that way it's easier to remember how to say.
Having a loss of motivation. Just remember that there are thousands - millions, even - of people learning the same language, and that a lot of them have managed to speak fluently.
Learning Japanese may seem difficult at first, but as you learn how to use more adjectives, phrases and the like, it will soon become easy to pronounce simple sentences, and eventually paragraphs.
Last but not least, read simple poems. Japanese poems that don't have too much complicated vocabulary will be one of the greatest helps in learning how to read/write Japanese words and sentences.
