Clozemaster : very pushy to PRO

plenty of features, lots of sentences in a language pair (many "taken" from tatoeba, so they say under "source")
but as soon as you "touch" anything like an additional function, such as adding your sentence to a "collection", or reading grammar a second time (first time works fine) .. almost everything you do, and you get prompted for the PRO version.

in the free version there is also the daily limit of 30 sentences (which you hit in no time)

Last year I did Clozemaster for a while.
The restriction to 30 sentences didn't bother me much because I opened my learning language Italian three times, once based on English, once based on German and once based on French --> 90 sentences per day

But in the long run I found it boring and not challenging enough to always select just one word.

Without "pro" you can read all the sentence discussions, but you cannot participate. You can even read the sentence discussions without a Clozemaster account.

so the "free" is always and only 1-out-of-4 words choice.
Would it be different in PRO then, no writing exercises?
if so, that would be very bad ... wrting is a must to learn and memorize words.

On the Proboards forums (access after subscribing only), Linda7italian is a convinced user of Clozemaster. After she more or less left Duolingo, she first turned to Busuu, complementing it later on with Clozemaster.

If you sign up to test it, can you remove your account if you don't like it? So no typing practice if you're not pro?
