Is it possible to have a check button for archived sentence discussions? This would be different from the green button that seems to tick by itself. The idea is that if there are a lot of sentences archived at once and someone asks a question, it won't be covered up by the sentences that have just being archived since the latest archives will be at the top of the stream.

maybe it's me ... but please explain a bit further:
- what is the new button supposed to help for
- how should a new button help a user to find an answer to a question
PS : the current "check" button shouldn't set all by itself - it a thing we still need to fix sometime.
Do you mean we should be able to search only in archived texts?
Most of them have [ARCHIVE] in the title, so it is searchable.
But ... isn't it all in the "advanced search" options, and how a user is able to formulate what the question is
with well chosen keywords, or tags ... ?

Re: Request for sentence discussion archive check button
Well the things is with the Hebrew sentence discussions, a question asked is easy to get missed because the latest topic in sentence discussions has an archived sentence in it as the comment. It would just be easier to know which sentences need archiving too.
Right now if I asked a question in the Hebrew sentence discussions in order to see if it was answered or not I go to my posts and look at the comments I made there to see if there was an answer before I could find answers without doing that. I guess I could subscribe to each one instead, I just don't feel like that many subscriptions. I'm all for archiving, just want to make it a little easier and I'm hoping this is a button that anyone can push.

Re: Request for sentence discussion archive check button
for the moment I don't see how to automate this, but you can do a lot with simple manual steps.
- for every USD created by the sentence bot, make sure to have a 1st reply.
- in the reply, put your information, such as links to audio, archives etc.
- save the reply. it's now in langSD
check whether the green "is answered" marker is set (we don't know why yet)
then - if you have an archive => let it on
- if you don't have an archive => switch it off
This way you know that all SD's without archive, (yet to be archived) don't have the marker set.
now, you can locate those with advanced search:
- select the "unanswered topics" option from the quick links menu top-right (browser)
--- This gives a list of all, any language - use the advanced search on the results (search these results)
--- enter (en → he) .... you need to copy paste that sequence from here, to get the code of the arrow included - you now have the list of Hebrew sentences, all SD, and all unarchived.
Would that suit your needs? or not at all (then I must have misunderstood)

Re: Request for sentence discussion archive check button
@Basler Biker I would hit the green check button if it behaved, but since it doesn't...Turns on and off at random, maybe when someone makes a comment. I suppose a manual graphic inserted into a sentence header if the bot would allow it might be one option. Than users can browse what sentences have archived information on them.
