I have created a list of every Korean resource you could possibly need. If you go through every single one of these resources and find yourself saying "Well, darn, I'm still looking for more resources", then I owe you $50.

That’s it. We’ve reached the end of the list. This post should contain every resource you could possibly need. Are there more resources out there? Of course, there are. There were several resources I felt weren’t necessary to add to this list. But if you have a resource that you think should be on this list, then please let me know. I’ll put it up here and say “suggested by ____”. Please do let me know what category it should fall under and what level it is suited for, if applicable.

What are other ways you can help yourself improve in Korean?

Immersion. Watching Korean dramas, listening to Korean music, playing Korean video games, reading Korean books, and talking to Korean natives.

You will never be fluent in Korean solely by listening to Korean music and watching Korean dramas, but doing these things in your spare time can help you familiarize yourself with the language.

Personally, I love to play Among Us in Korean servers these days. I definitely don’t recommend this if you are a beginner. But if you are conversational in the language, it can be fun. Whatever games you play, go to your settings and see if you can change the display language to Korean.

Put sticky notes up in your house. Write “wall” in Korean on a sticky note and put that note on your wall. Write “refrigerator” in Korean and put it on your refrigerator. And make sure you actually read those sticky notes. Don’t ignore them.

Join Discord servers centered on Korean/English language exchange. Find online communities where you can discuss the Korean language and ask questions when needed. (Duolingo being one of the communities you can go to to ask questions when you need help.)

Remember this: Passive studying is NOT active studying. You need to put in work. Whatever resource you’re using to study, if you’re doing it casually, then you will never get the same out of it than if you were challenging yourself. On Duolingo, if you have to translate a sentence, it is much better to look away from the word bank and really challenge yourself to remember the words on your own. If you always rely on looking at the word bank to answer the question, then you are not getting the most out of it.

Everyone learns differently, though. If you have a method that works for you, then that’s great. But if you feel like you’re struggling to learn and retain information, then you should ask yourself if you need to change the way you’re tackling the language.
