Hello!
Thank you for this list!
Now I am looking for a different list. The current stories with the world characters. Can you create a similar table?
For example, if someone wants to read a Spanish story, but it would be in unit 87, a direct link would help....
Fantastic, EranBarLev! Thanks for linking these. I never had the chance to finish the full set of stories before they changed what was available.
I don't know where to get the links now. We should have done this before the transition to the snake. I think dakanga created such a list for the French stories, but I don't know where she got the links. Maybe she could help with the Spanish stories too.
I could swear I've answered this but it seems to have been deleted somehow.

I think this is what you might mean :

And we need to, greatfully, thank justheaven for saving it in those crazy limited days we had.
ohhh EranBarLev , perhaps you were looking for this post of yours :

Other resources on the stories theme :
dakanga, I think jzsuzsi asked for direct links to the new stories with the cartoon characters, which are now accessible only through the snake. The links you gave are for the old deleted stories.

ahhh. Sorry for misunderstanding.
Here is the first handful. Though I am sure you are wanting the complete list.
Buenos días https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/1/level/2
Una cita https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/1/level/5
Una cosa https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/2/level/3
Una familia muy grande https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/2/level/6
La chaqueta roja https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/2/level/8
El pasaporte https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/3/level/2
La luna de miel https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/3/level/5
El doctor Eddy https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/3/level/9
You can work out the numbers to call them up, by looking at the details of the course. This is what I did for the French course, probably about a year ago.
This is accessible by using the course layout, for example, by this post : viewtopic.php?t=6782-spanish-from-engli ... -211-units
For example :
Unit 1 - Form basic sentences, greet people
4 + Story + 4 + chest + Story + 1 = Goal
Where for Unit 1, there is a story in the second "level", and in the fifth "level".
Whever there is a "chest", it counts.
Thus you get :
https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/1/level/2
https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/1/level/5
so, for
Unit 143 - Talk about the news
6 + 6 + Story + chest + 3 + 6 + 6 + chest + Story + 3 + 1 = Goal
https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/143/level/3
https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/143/level/9
However in this example, to open the story links, your language needs to be set to Spanish from English, AND your progress in the course has to be past Unit 143.
Thank you dakanga!
But there is a catch.
If we use links like these for the "snake", it only works for those stories that I already reached with my progress.
La luna de miel https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/3/level/5 works fine
but https://www.duolingo.com/lesson/unit/143/level/3 redirects me to the main page, because I haven't reached unit 143 yet.
Ok, I see you also mentioned that
Some random guy on Discord wanted to read "I like your tie" and "Isn't this a date" but those are pretty far down the lane...
It is worth checking out the wonderful work done by https://www.duostories.org/
They do some amazing work !

For general intest - for what Duolingo stories are like, this is a good review :

Though this is not about your query, but I thought perhaps this may be interesting for some others.
If I stumble on more information specifically for the stories :
"I like your tie" and "Isn't this a date"
I will try to remember to comment back on this thread.
This comment was posted by user RandomPrecision1 for the old site code carex.uber.space/stories/index.html (is empty now) one year ago:
No idea if the website code has been changed yet from GET to POST to avoid the plain text password being logged on the server on the new https://www.duostories.org/ website.
It allows to register and login (independently from Duolingo.com).

Yes, I know this page. I even joined as a contributor.
As you see there are 8 stories available in Hungarian... guess who translated most of them? [wink wink]
tldr: and that is not all you have done - and I am sure do !
It is also great we help draw notice to this wonderful resource.
edited and removed long winded response.
I get my Japanese stories back and ones in Ukrainian with the link above. How fantastic. I’ve never seen so many ! Even Greek ! Looks like all the languages.
Thank you !
Really enjoying the later stories that I hadn't seen before. Much more sophisticated and the writing exercises at the end are very helpful. Here's hoping Duolingo doesn't "disappear" those, also. Though really, I wonder what their motivation was for removing them from general access. Is the writing exercise part too much for their software? Even without the writing exercise the stories would be good. Also, wondering if these stories turn up later in "the snake."
