Hello Folks!
I am really keen to start talking, in a very broken and unkempt way with anyone else who is learning Irish Gaelic. Even if we just use a few words to practice in sentences to start off. Is there anyone interested in that?

Dia dhuit AusShoshana!
I am on Brisbane time zone, which currently is an hour behind Sydney and Melbourne due to daylight savings time!
What time zone are you in? Which state do you live in?

Bonus! I’m in Western Australia. 2 hours behind you
That's greatAusShoshana!
I feel a bit shy! My Irish isn't good yet but I am keen to practice!
Do you Zoom or Skype?
Do you want to swap emails. Not sure how we do this?

Any idea?
As far as I remember you need to have at least 10 posts until you can use DM - five posts to go
Native / using / learning / once learnt / trying to understand at least a bit
Thanks for the explanations
Not really keen on spamming such a small community for the sake of a policy.. doesn’t look Like there is much option
AusShoshana You can now PM. Welcome to Duome!

I am hoping that I can DM soon as well!
Bheadh sé sin spreagúil! That would be exciting!

There were a whole lot of Australians in Jerry’s Beginner’s class yesterday!
Loving learning Gaeilge.
If you do want to practice AusShoshana,
I am available I am just not as advanced as you! But I am keen and eager, but if you are too busy right now with work and all I do understand if you don't have time!

D’oibríomar ar roinnt fuaimniú, agus is iontach an rud é comhrá a dhéanamh le duine éigin atá in ann cúpla leideanna a thabhairt duit. Tá sé spreagúil foghlaim cá bhfuil na hacmhainní eile sin go léir.
I got to practice with an American. It was 10pm US time and 1pm my time and it was great! We translated the homework of the first chapter of Progress in Irish. We worked on some prounciation, and it's great to chat to someone who can give you a few tips. Learning where all those other resources are, is exciting.

Yesterday I practiced with a much more advanced speaker of Irish, and I learnt so much!
She said she enjoyed it as it helped her revise the Chapter without it being boring.
There is great value in a more advanced student working with a less advanced student. One learns the content and the other can refine their knowledge and share it, whilst revising it at the same time.
I hope you are all enjoying your learning journeys with the Gaeilge!
