"of marine life", "of under the sea", "of the sea".
"the marine world" is just odd and wouldn't be used.
for that matter, I'm not even sure what it means (other than referring to an amusement park in Northern California in the late 20th century!)
I guess i agree it sounds awkward.
My first take was 'marine life' but that excludes inanimate things like coral.
'The undersea world' or the aquatic world' fit.

Coral is alive, so it fits in with marine life.
