Arrête‑toi !

There's a difference between s'arrêter and arrêter .
You use arrêter to stop something or someone, and you use s'arrêter to stop yourself.

La voiture s'arrête au feu rouge.
The car stops at the red light.
Ils ont décidé d'arrêter la grève.
They decided to stop the strike.
Je me suis arrêté parce que j'étais trop fatigué.
I stopped because I was too tired.
