Ursprung: Früher mussten Matrosen altes, aufgelöstes Takelwerk entwirren und neues Garn wickeln. Bei dieser eher langweiligen Tätigkeit erzählten sie sich gegenseitig Geschichten und berichteten von ihren Abenteuern.
