Hebrew prepositions

Post by Corinnebelle »

So I find that Hebrew prepositions feel like rock in the pathway to knowing Hebrew well.

For example for those learning Hebrew try this. No I'm not advertising their course, but it seems like every Hebrew verb has its own preposition that goes with it and they aren't the same as what we say in English.

Does anyone have any tips for learning them.

I've been looking for a list of verbs that might help with this with their corresponding prepositions. Any recommendations for books, websites, dictionaries?

Edit: Since writing this, I notice that Pealim lists if there is a preposition necessary.

https://www.pealim.com/dict/1140-lagaat/

to touch (ב־)

https://www.pealim.com/dict/6413-nagua/

infected, contaminated (ב־)

to treat, to take care (ב-)

I'm not sure they teach everything.
