punctuality - different understanding in different countries?

Post by MoniqueMaRie »

In my duolingo course FR-IT there was the sentence "In Italia, non arrivate mai in anticipo" (In Italy, never arrive early)

In Germany there is the saying: "fünf Minuten vor der Zeit, sind die wahre Pünktlichkeit" what I learned is "five minutes early, would be what I call true punctuality" (when I look for the rhyme again)

Now I wonder: what is it like in other countries? Where should you be very punctual, where should you rather be a bit early or even a bit late..?

Native :de: / using :uk: / learning :fr: :cn: :it: / once learnt Image / trying to understand at least a bit :poland:
