Your duolingo forum registration isn't automaticaly transferred to duome forum so in order to join duome forums you need to register with your existing or any other username and email; in any case it's advised that you choose a new password for the forum.

I reported this for two reasons on 3 September 2022:
It did not recognise this in place of that, and I'm certain German doesn't have as clear of a distinction than in English.
It demands the Saxon genitive: it did not allow "This is the farm of my best friends".

You are right about dies and das, but we use "das" much more frequently in sentences like this. Obviously, "dies" isn't wrong. You are also right about the Saxon genitive, but this also applies to the German sentence. "... der Bauernhof meiner besten Freunde" is Standard written German", "von meinen besten Freunden" is spoken colloquial German.
