Are these words interchangeable?

I was reviewing Section 3 Unit 3: Determiners 2. In the Vocab. list for this lesson are:
sånn
slik
The translations are almost identical. What determines which word is used when? I haven't been able to figure that out based on the sentences. I wish my English teachers had spent more class time on grammar!
As long as I have started on this topic, one more pair of words is confusing to me:
arbeid
jobb
If I do not guess the "right one" for a given sentence the answer is marked wrong. Are they really as interchangeable as the tips page said they are? Thanks!!
