I finished the Arabic course!

Post by Jacko079 »

Now that I’m fully fluent…just kidding. :) But, today, I finished the Arabic course on Duolingo! I am excited that I finished the course, but also exited to keep going.

I finished all the levels, including the legendary one.

Now I plan to start the reverse course.

Thank you to all who have helped me with my Arabic!

You even finished the legendary level. I rarely do that.

Can you use Arabic in your everyday life?

Congratulations Jacko079 The legendary tree is something that very few people can get. What's next? Well, a friend of mine who studied Arabic told me that after Modern Standard Arabic it's important to know a dialect of a country in which you have a special interest. Apparently there's quite a difference between MSA and the different dialects, to the point that it's not at all easy to understand what people say without having studied them. She studied Gulf Arabic.

Can I use Arabic in my everyday life? Not really. I try to practice it when I can, but don’t have a lot of speaking practice available. This forum however, has an Arabic forum as you know, I have been on there some, and that has improved my Arabic. 🤍

I will take that advice to heart. Thank you!

So far, the reverse tree is going well. It is a little confusing having everything (to me) backwards though! :)
