In Spanish we would use "típico" ("un típico domingo"), not "clásico". We use the latter to qualify something as being classy or belonging to a classical period.

Alhough "clásico" is also used in sports, with the same meaning as in Portuguese, I don't think I have ever heard the expressión "un domingo de clásico," but then again, I am not much into soccer, if at all
