For English-speakers, if you want to aggressively improve your listening skills, I recommend this radio station: Radio Culture from Ukraine:
https://streema.com/radios/UR_3_Radio_K ... _R_Kultura
For those who are curious as to what this is, it's very similar to government-funded programming. I am in Canada, so I compare this to the CBC, and has three channels that run 24 hours a day with similar programming, yet on different schedules with different hosts.
Programs on all three channels include the following:
Audiobook readings • Radio Plays • Stage Plays • Interviews • Bedtime Stories (for children) • Sports talk • News • Live/Call in Discussion • Music • and much more.
This is their website:
http://www.nrcu.gov.ua/#archiveTab-1
Here, you will find a calendar (Архів) with tabs for each channel with archived programs, where you can see the day's schedule, and have the option to download content that has already aired.
To improve listening skills, one has to immerse themselves in the language, even if you don't understand it all (if any)--just listen to it. While music and movies are often favoured, the pace of some of these programs are much easier to follow.
