Your duolingo forum registration isn't automaticaly transferred to duome forum so in order to join duome forums you need to register with your existing or any other username and email; in any case it's advised that you choose a new password for the forum.

it's not actually what they need but what they use (i.e. 97% of companies use Finnish)
and there are plenty of jobs that don't require knowing Finnish (or knowing at a very basic level), like for most jobs which do not require interaction with customers you don't need it
