In your list, I was surprised with "salted". In Reverso, I find it is used for an old experimented sailor ; I guess because of the salted water. We call him "un vieux loup de mer".
Je préfère avoir un médecin expérimenté, plutôt qu'un médecin expérimentateur !

or worse even - un expéri-menteur
loup de mer - très bon poisson au restaurant type "bistro",
mais les resto's étoilés vont préférer vous offrir du "lotte" (c.à.d. "diable" de mer)

In English literature, an experienced sailor is also called an "old salt" or sometimes an "old tar." (Neither expression is now common in the 21st century since sailing is no longer a common profession). The expression "sea wolf" isn't usually used in English, though there is classic Jack London novel by that name.
