I started Duolingo in 2019 and really missed the stories that were on the site at that time. It seems that they are really helpful because I tend to remember entire phrases from them.

The latest mobile version has energy rather than hearts. I wasn't sure at first but now I prefer it

Fortunately, I’d already realised back then that this site was aiming to recapture the old strengths of Duolingo.
However, it seems that nobody can stop Duolingo’s increasing gamification.

Hello

I'm about 3 years in. I do all the languages, including Guarani, Catalan, and Yue Chinese.

I am also stacking in Tagalog for several languages in order to learn Tagalog, currently German, for a trip to Der Schweiz. I just completed section 2 in German/Tagalog so will complete section 3 in German/English before doingbit again in Tagalog. Words keep coming up that I don't know in either German or Tagalog so that causes a Problem... Also doing 29 languages in uTalk, including Swiss German.

I Track them in Excel. I have a strategy for rotating my time over the languages. I have accumulatwd a large Library of children's Books and use ChatGPT to Track them.

I'm keen to meet other wannabe hyperglots.

OK yes, should be "Die Schweiz" or "... in der Schweiz". I don't worry too much about gender - it will come through repeated use...
