Re: Introduce yourself
Reached my 2500 day streak today., there's still 86900 freaks ahead of me! Last time I used a streak freeze was in July 2022 when my flight back from South Korea and my layover and the time zones didn't play nice, and even though I did a lesson right before flying, right after, and on the layover, I somehow missed the true streak. No, I don't really mind. My Portuguese, French and Spanish have improved substantially, and I'm really getting better at keeping my chess ELO over 1000. So yeah I guess I'm an ambassador for Duolingo by now, having joined 13 years ago. There are things I don't like, there are things I despise, and there are many things I love about Duo. My brain has learnt to do many new things and to switch languages on the fly thanks to Duolingo, something I doubted was even possible for me. I'm not great or even good at any of the languages, but the satisfaction of continually improving is substantial. Thank you all.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi all members,
My name is KaiXin. I come from China. I have been learning English for a while via Duolingo every day.
I want to practice daily oral English and reading comprehension better, so I found this helpful Duome website. Looking forward to reading lots of short stories here and communicating with people who also love language learning.
Wish we can make progress together!

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi! I'm Pascal. Native in Dutch and close to native in English as I have been working as a storyteller (tour guide) in Bruges, Belgium for the last 10 years.
I've retained my German from high school pretty well and my levels are:
- reading B2 (high)
- listening B2 (high)
- writing B1 (low)
- speaking B1 (high)
My french is a bit from high school, but mainly Duolingo for 4+ years:
- reading B2 (high)
- listening B1 (low)
- writing B2 (low)
- speaking B1 (low)
I also know some Spanish, but my focus has now shifted to maintaining French and learning Italian.

Re: Introduce yourself
Welkom.
Stel je wil taalles geven, kan je dit eenmalig aankondigen op dit forum
viewforum.php?f=616-language-tutors
Verder is er een Nederlands/Vlaams forum
viewforum.php?f=177-ik-spreek-leer-nederlands-nl-be
waar je één en ander over de taal kwijt kunt. Of over de stad.
Bv. Wat zijn jouw (taal-)ervaringen met toeristen allerhand in Brugge?

Hi "tt". Welcome to the forum. What's Finnish for "agglutinative"?

Hi! I'm Victoria. I'm learning German and English. I miss the old stories so much. I enjoyed them. But they were changed to AI-stories. So I'm here. Thank you for your amazing work here and for keeping the stories alive!
