You can use any username that you like when you join duome forum, yet it's better if you use your existing Duolingo username to unlock some extra features and avoid confusion while troubleshooting; in any case it's advised that you choose a different password for the forum.

Is it just me or do others "lose" their 3x Friends Quest Reward. For a few weeks it was not given, then it started to be given but after 24 hours would disappear. On a Sunday I would get notification my "bonus" was about to expire in next few hours. It was nowhere to be seen so I could use it.
Obviously Duolingo support can't be bothered to respond.
duomeLast week it all went as it always did - nothing unusual for me. When I compete the friends quest on the app I have an option to claim the reward in the shop, but when I complete the quest on the website, I think the award fires off immediately.
This was in the App. I chose Claim in Shop but after a day it disappears yet, as I said, at end of week I get mesage it is about to expire.

It has worked as expected for me, whether I claim it immediately or put it in the shop. However, it seems I have to use it on Saturday at the latest, or else it disappears.
