I did not immediately get the construction of this sentence:
- När du tvättar kläder är det bra att låta bli att tumla dem torra.
att låta bli = to refrain from => not doing something
In this case "att låta" itself means "to let" (allowing sth, or leave sth to be or act on its own), o.a.
So it's interesting to see that "att låte bli" is like "let it be", don't act, don't intervene, don't continue.
Or "leave it as is, don't do anything further"

In Dutch one would say "laat het zijn" or even shorter "laat zijn", "laat los" and do or say sth else.
