Memrise - Listening to real people speak

Post by John Little »

On the Memrise Portuguese course, we started with a woman and a man both speaking short phrases clearly and slowly. Now, after a few weeks, there is suddenly a new man apparently speaking "normally", ie slightly faster with words running into each other.

I was completely at a loss for a while. Then, this morning, suddenly I was able to understand him! Now, that's what I call progress! Well done Memrise!!!

did Memrise mention a level change for you, when it switched from slower/easy to more advanced normal speed?

Either you win or you learn, but you never lose. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

No. It was quite a shock. But it worked!
