OMG this link was great...thank you so much. Many of these sayings I remember from my childhood. My favorite saying was one I heard a lot when I was young:

May you grow like an onion with your head in the ground and your feet above.

One time while I was out shopping with my sister we found tank tops that said, "May you grow like an onion" and we had to buy them. It was our inside joke. Thank you for this link! May a blessing be on your head!
