alpha (in English) = άλφα (in Greek)
Alpha /ˈælfə/ (uppercase Α, lowercase α) is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals, it has a value of one. Alpha is derived from the Phoenician letter aleph.

While I was watching this video, I couldn't help but notice that the stroke order for most of the letters 't' seemed very Japanese, and as I thought, the writer was indeed Japanese. Haha...
