Re: Hva er forskjellen mellom "trekk" og "trekk inn" (kort)?

Jeg tror ikke det er en stor forskjell. Hvis du må ta et kort fra en motspillers hand sier du trekke et kort. Eller trekke to kort. Hvis du skal ta kort fra en bunke som ligger på bordet kan du si trekke inn kort men hvis du bare sier trekke er det bra. Jeg tror hvis du må ta alle kortene er det mes...

Re: Fairy tales and easyreader content or bilingual books

Amazon has some books if you can order from them. The HYPLEN books are cheap and some learners like to see the translation underneath the test. There are stories and fairytales from that series.

The reason there is no De in front is that it is used in an indefinite form. Would be true for other adjectives used as nouns as well such as in a sentence like "ansatte kan bruke denne inngangen"

Re: Listening - Det er or de er

Pronouns can be tough in daily speak as they are often unstressed and therefore tend to be short and truncated which is the case with det er and de er. English solves this with contractions but they are not official in Norwegian. I think DE and DET are always a bit different. Det has an ending simil...

Re: "Det ville vært en ære."

These days the preferred one is the middle one. "Ha" is not normally said here anymore and also by now rarely written. The third one is probably more Danish but I think is grammatically ok in Norwegian.

Re: På kontoret henger han av seg dressjakken.

probably henge fra seg is the most common way of saying it but I think some people combine ta av seg and henge fra seg and get henge av seg... You can see it used so it is fine.

Re: How do I rearrange words?

I am not sure I under stand quite what you mean. Maybe another example? One thing to keep in mind is that Norwegian does not use the "do" phrasing as English does (except in a few cases). Ikke will usually follow the verb.

Re: "Rapporten er et resultat av mange års forskning."

I simply cannot decide: Is it the 'mange års' that belongs to the 'forskning' or is it the 'forskning' that belongs to the 'mange års'. that is exactly why some grammarians define this as non possessive genitives and have other words for it. I think this is classified as Genitivus qualitatis so the...

Re: Is "du" swallowed sometimes?

I think quite a few places in Norway people will leave out the d in du, in part of fully, if the pronoun is not stressed... especially after vil or har.. Har 'u fått 'n. The same is true for many of the pronouns. Hvor har 'n vært? This is quite common in eastern Norway. But also other places

Re: Why is 'ikke' sometimes at the end of a sentence?

This is a grammar rule in Norwegian. In Norwegian we do not like to end a sentence on a unstressed pronoun. In a short sentence with ikke where the object is a non emphasized pronoun (like det) we prefer to end the sentence on ikke rather than the pronoun. So we may say... Han fant den ikke. Jeg kje...

Re: Politiet fulgte den løpende tyven.

I guess technically låven is the place where feed is kept and fjøset is a place for animals. Fjøs is a sort of contraction of fe (cows) and house (hus). But I think in regions in Norway that distinction is a bit blurred

Taking the choices out of the school system. Probably not a bad thing for younger children and teachers especially if the course changes to be more linear.

Still dealing with the Law2 skill, I encountered this weird form of a noun. But where does 'den' come from in this sentence? A...
