Amazon has some books if you can order from them. The HYPLEN books are cheap and some learners like to see the translation underneath the test. There are stories and fairytales from that series.
The reason there is no De in front is that it is used in an indefinite form. Would be true for other adjectives used as nouns as well such as in a sentence like "ansatte kan bruke denne inngangen"
These days the preferred one is the middle one. "Ha" is not normally said here anymore and also by now rarely written. The third one is probably more Danish but I think is grammatically ok in Norwegian.
probably henge fra seg is the most common way of saying it but I think some people combine ta av seg and henge fra seg and get henge av seg... You can see it used so it is fine.

NB For en latter will mean "what a laugh" in Norwegian. I think we will say "noe som får latteren fram"
I am not sure I under stand quite what you mean. Maybe another example? One thing to keep in mind is that Norwegian does not use the "do" phrasing as English does (except in a few cases). Ikke will usually follow the verb.
I think quite a few places in Norway people will leave out the d in du, in part of fully, if the pronoun is not stressed... especially after vil or har.. Har 'u fått 'n. The same is true for many of the pronouns. Hvor har 'n vært? This is quite common in eastern Norway. But also other places

They do mean the same. ingenting is "nothing" and ikke noe is "not anything"
I believe "ikke noe" is used in this sentence because there was something afoot just the victim did not notice it.

You did not look up velge the verb just valg the noun. There is a difference.
å velge means to choose or to decide.
Jeg valgte den grønne genseren.

Hun valgte å ta bussen
