Reported this on 5 October 2022 for not accepting a more literal answer that Anglophones would understand. How goes your research? This isn't a grammatically correct sentence, though, is it? The point is not just to write a sentence that would be understood, but one that is grammatically correct. :)

I'm keen to learn the grammar I need - but where do I learn what words like nominative mean ? Grammatical cases are categories of the different forms that some words take (nouns, articles, adjectives etc.). Each category usually has specific functions in a sentence. Re: Learning Greek vocabulary

Wiktionary is pretty good for the etymology of a word. In Modern Greek, we have many loanwords from Italian (and mostly Venetian). So any similarity between Greek and Spanish is usually via Latin. "Μπάνιο", for example, is a re-borrowing case. When words are borrowed from another language...

I would recommend that you follow the rule, but have in mind that many native Greeks will not. It's not a big deal. It could mean both. However, personally, I would say "Τι είναι το «ροζ»;" or "Τι σημαίνει «ροζ»;" (What does "pink" mean?) to ask for a definition. It sounds better grammatically and there is no ambiguity. If I heard "Τι είναι ροζ;" out of context, I would ass...

It is not; "X ve/ile y arasında" often implies involvement—as in a conflict or a secret between x and y—and not so often location—especially in colloquial speech. So it may no be the best translation but is still passable. And the system probably took that o for "the". So, if I ...
