Re: Questions can also be asked or experiences shared in this German sub-forum
Don't know, my experience on the Duolingo forum was that most of the questions were about German grammar or specific translations than about jobs, etc. I think whoever has questions will ask them and when a forum is too structured, my experience has been that sometimes you don't know where to put ...

Re: Questions can also be asked or experiences shared in this German sub-forum
An idea— What about creating a thread for each of the Skills in a tree? For example: Restaurant, Jobs, Leisure, Hobbies…
Would that encourage more learners to post a question about something in a lesson they are struggling with? I don’t know.

Re: [Duolingo] Are Tinycards coming back?
That’s very interesting to see the different things you are doing with Quizlet— thanks for showing me some of them!
But right now, it’s the middle of the semester, I have 4 classes, and I just don’t have the time to work on a collaborative project. Depending on ...

Re: Sentence Discussion? No More!
I suppose it makes a certain amount of sense (albeit not a lot) for learners to be able to see earlier learners’ questions and the mods’ or other users’ answers and explanations. But to make it impossible for anyone to ask for grammar or vocabulary help at all, is just rotten.

Two games for Gaelic speakers/learners
Also, from the Facle page, there is a link to a ‘memory’ vocabulary game called Cuimhne , on the model of “Concentration”. It’s specifically designed for users of Duolingo. https://cuimhne ...

Learning my way around the new Duome Forums -- Please forgive any formatting errors, etc….
<snip>
There is so much that can be do with Tinycards in terms of drilling down on grammar (verb conjugations, inflections, matching adjectives to nouns...), and entire phrases (sample restaurant ...

Re: Duolingo forums have now been closed
I just don't see the point of duo crippling its users by locking the sentence discussions. Really dismayed today to discover this. Whole new unfriendly feel to duo now.
My thoughts exactly. Silly me, I believed them when they said they were leaving the Sentence Discussions alone.
Worse, by ...

Re: Duolingo forums have now been closed
They have to find their way to the Duome forum or another forum, coz Discord won't be of big help.
I am sad about this in another way… I enjoyed answering grammar questions in SD in the German from English course. I just realized there will be no more emails to me from Duo with newly posted ...

Re: Duolingo forums have now been closed
What the hell!?!?
None of the SD posts are opening from the lessons page. The page quickly opens and closes. Well, this is terrible.
EDIT: Ok, I managed to open 2 SD posts while doing a lesson.
So… they lied. They told us that SD would continue.
How in the flaming heck is a new learner ...

List of Scottish Gaelic Learning Resources
This is a very extensive list originally posted on the Scottish Gaelic Forums by CFCUJY. (Note: I did not create or compile any of this— all I did was grab it and run to post it over here.)
