All I can say is that I am happy with the snake, but you progress faster in the course with the tree, and there are no levels with the snake. So if you enjoy leveling up or collecting golden trees stay with the tree. If like me you are a boring follow-the-herd laborious petty accountant type of unde...

It is pretty clear to me that the change to one-path has corrupted all the analytics.
Quite sad as the information provided by duome.eu rendered Duolingo infinitely more interesting...

Hmm, my crowns on internal.duolingo.com haven't gone up since they gave me the one path, even though I can see the old tree through them. The "English for Tagalog speakers" course is good, several non Tagalog speakers took it and enjoyed it and even completed it...

For a given course, some people have reached level 25 since a long time ago and continue to score up to 200k XP or more for the same course. In that case I might have a mild (of course ) order/symmetry or counting compulsion OCD, which is amplified by the analytics provided by evil Duome .
I strive to have an orderly rounded number of crowns, XP, XP levels, so that might fit the bill...
