"ce que je vis au travail" is indeed perfectly fine. Passer can't be used the exact same was as vivre here; it's used impersonally instead : "ce qu'il se passe à mon travail" It also has a somewhat different meaning, as it refers to what happens at my work, not just what I person...

Though from what I've read, piję and pije are homophones.
